Intermodal and Railway
MidEx Corp is partnered with many of the major railroads in the East/Midwest region, giving us plenty of intermodal shipping opportunities.
There are many advantages to transporting goods by train. Most notably, trains use considerably less fuel than trucks, making it environmentally friendly and a less expensive option for our customers.
Aslo, shipments are handled much less when transported by train. This further reduces the cost of shipping by rail and decreases the risk of damaged goods.

Railway Logistics

Full Truck Load
Full Truckload (FTL) Transportation
With our FTL service, we can take nearly 45,000 pounds in a single load, transporting it anywhere in the east and midwest regions of the USA.
In order for the shipment to qualify for our full truckload service, it must have the equivalent of 24 to 30 pallets. This allows us to transport the goods directly from pickup location to drop-off site without delays to deliver other customers’ orders.
At MidEx, we handle all the logistics of securing a carrier, picking up the shipment, transferring drivers or vehicles, and unloading the shipment. Our drivers will handle every item with the utmost care and respect. All our customers have to do is book a shipment and wait for MidEx to get the job done.

For international shipping, MidEx offers ocean transportation options.
Even though it’s cheaper than air freight, many companies may shy away from ocean shipping due to the extended travel time of cargo boats. It’s also unpredictable, as ships’ schedules may change on short notice because of influxes or decreases in supply and demand.
When a company partners with MidEx to take care of their ocean shipping needs, we will handle all the arrangements and last minute changes. We are partnered with some of the largest ocean carrier companies in the world, so we can arrange alternate transportation if something goes wrong with one of the vessels.
When a customer books ocean shipping with us, we handle all the details. We arrange drayage to move cargo from the shipyard, and we arrange the transportation to complete the delivery.
