Intermodal and Railway

MidEx Corp is partnered with many of the major railroads in the East/Midwest region, giving us plenty of intermodal shipping opportunities. 

There are many advantages to transporting goods by train. Most notably, trains use considerably less fuel than trucks, making it environmentally friendly and a less expensive option for our customers.

Aslo, shipments are handled much less when transported by train. This further reduces the cost of shipping by rail and decreases the risk of damaged goods.

Shipment Materials

Transporting goods by rail doesn’t put a limit on the type of materials that can be shipped. Train cars are capable of transporting everything that trucks can, including, but certainly not limited to:

• Canned and frozen foods
• Fresh foods
• Liquids
• Grain
• Plastics and synthetics
• Machinery

Less than Container

Shipping by rail doesn’t take away the option to do a smaller shipment. We offer Less than container (LCL) shipment services. This can be especially ideal for small businesses who need to save money when sending and ordering smaller shipments.

LCL shipments come with all the same benefits and are treated with the same care as any other shipment. This is one of the many advantages to shipping with MidEx.

Railway Logistics

At MidEx Corp, we plan the most straightforward and cost-effective railway routes for our customers’ shipments. It’s no problem if the pick up/drop off location is nowhere near a railroad; we will arrange the drayage and truck drivers. We handle the transportation of goods from the provider to the railway and from the rail to our customer’s final drop location.
